I want your family session to feel fun, natural, and stress-free—so here are a few insider tips I share with all my clients. These little details can make a big difference in how relaxed you feel and how beautiful your photos turn out.
Golden hour (the hour before sunset) gives the most magical light for glowing, timeless portraits. Morning sessions are also wonderful for little ones who are happiest earlier in the day.
Bring small snacks, a favorite toy, or even plan a fun “reward” for after the session. When kids feel relaxed and see it as playtime, the joy in your portraits shines through.
Coordinating doesn’t mean matching! Neutral tones, soft patterns, and textures (like knits or linen) photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family’s connection, not the clothes.
